Smart design brings people together.
Many of today’s large, undefined spaces can make us feel lost and separated, while spaces built on a human level can help us feel secure and grounded. Well-designed homes foster intimacy with the people in our lives, nature and the world around us.
I aim to work within a home’s existing footprint to make spaces of all sizes fit the needs of the family. By reworking existing space instead of expanding it, we can conserve resources and keep construction costs in check.
My projects have included large and small home renovations – from single rooms to full-scale remodels – as well as municipal housing and infrastructure projects in a previous career as a city planner.
I am a carpenter — trained at the North Bennet Street School in Boston, the country’s oldest trade school. I have a residential design/build certification from the Yestermorrow School in Waitsfield, Vermont, which was founded on the principle that the best-built environment hinges on the cooperation between designers, builders and homeowners.
I look forward to transforming your home with you.
